To be honest I love all books. I indeed think there is a place in every home for a choice of hard cover and paper back books. They can look great in a bookcase and can often hold sentimental value for the owner.
Having said that, I do believe that eBooks are the way of the time to come and there are many reasons why they are preferable to the former book with paper pages.

From an authors perspective there are many benefits. An eBook can be produced in a short period of time, sometimes just a week os so whereas most paper books can take up to a year before they reach the shelves of book stores. Once the eBook is complete it can be distributed to thousands of customers in a very short period of time. While I do agree that to have your book produced in a corporeal form can add credibility to you as an author there are many very respected eBook authors providing capability products online today. Of course, there is all the time the choice ready to turn your eBook into a corporeal book.
From a sellers point of view, eBooks are a dream product. As long as you have proprietary to resell the book, whether it be resale rights, master resale proprietary or incommunicable label rights, you can sell the same copy over and over again. With incommunicable label proprietary (Plr) you can indeed claim to be the author making any changes you like to the text or the graphics. Some authors will allow you to rebrand their books with your own links potentially making it very viral.
From a buyers perspective eBooks can be obtained far quicker than paper books. No more having to go to a book store or waiting for the postman to arrive. In some cases the eBook is delivered as an attachment directly to you via email. Many sellers will send you to a download page where more often than not you can not only download your book but a amount of bonus items as well making your buy greater value.
Many authors will capture your details during the buying process. This enables them to provide you, normally free of charge, any updated versions of their product. I’ve personally not seen this practiced with any corporeal books.
Some people don’t like to read eBooks on their computer screen and would rather have a corporeal book that they can carry around with them or snuggle up with on the lounge on a rainy day. Well you can still do this with eBooks. All you need is an eBook reader or some sort of transported media device. Depending on the size of its memory they can often hold thousands of books.
When you think about it, eBooks are far better in terms of the impact on the environment. Yeah sure, some people will still print them off but the majority will naturally store them on their computers or transported media.
For some, including myself, ebooks are a more pleasurable experience. I personally suffer from an eye condition called Keratoconus. I love to read but it can often be a struggle if the pages are not backlit like on a computer screen or a pda or some such media. So there’s someone else suspect many people will select eBooks.
I hope this gives you some understanding into why I believe eBooks are better than corporeal books, at least, most of the time.
